Fair enough mandymiller.
Healthy discussion here.
Taking a step back and looking at the big picture it looks to me like its just an internet kiosk with a phone. Perhaps I just don't understand or am ignorant.
Large shopping centers already have paid internet kiosks and almost everyone has a mobile phone.
Could work at airports though.
Although most international airports have free internet kiosks.
Yes, it's cheaper option than international roaming and that is a positive as well as for rural airports which might not have phone/internet coverage.
But, I would imagine you need scale for that.
But it's been done before and it hasn't taken off, yes it is down to timing and I hope the timing is right for you, but fundamentally to me it does not make sense and that's why I wouldn't invest. If TLS thinks so, then so be it and good luck to you you.
IMO this product will be irrelevant in 5 years time.
Phones and calls are becoming cheaper and cheaper.
You mention the iPhone, I think the iPhone is a great example of technology innovation, I certainly didn't think phones could do the things they can today 5 years ago.
I just don't see the longevity, I see it becoming irrelevant and redundant just as payphones are today.
Best of luck to all holders though, enjoying the discussion.
