No Johnny, I don't believe they have succeeded in picking up many cheap shares the last few days. Yes they have dropped the price, but they haven't gained much from it because of the volume. Suppose you were a big fund looking to pick up a large number of shares and weren't in a hurry to do it. Obviously you would try and pick them up as cheap as you can. If nobody is selling at the level you want then you have to buy at a higher price. Or you can offload a few at lower levels to drop the price and try and entice buyers out in greater volume. If they walk the price back up to yesterdays close, and pick up some extra volume on the way then they will have had a win, as they will have picked them up cheaper than buying them at market today.

If there was big volume (i.e. well above average) I would be looking more closely as it would indicate a lot of sellers. But there isn't so I presume the action is manoeuvring for position before the next lot of positive news.
