The fact that they need to raise $80mil doesn't surprise but getting 50c would be amazing given the dilution - if the lenders are kicking in $60mil then they might see it as a way of getting some of their money back.
Trying to get $20mil in actual cash from existing shareholders mightn't be as easy - I think they tried to do a similar raising at 77c which resulted in a large shortfall.
