Comparing US$850 now with US$850 in January 1980 is like comparing chalk with cheese, because the dollars ARE NOT a constant over 28 years.
Put very simply, if any of you were working in January 1980 how would you like to be taking home each week the same dollars now as then?
How would you like a pay rise next week which will give you a "record" income as you will just pass the income you were earning in January 1980!!
