Icewine was drilled on an existing gravel pad (highway or TAPS construction site), as Olderwiser states it would be very unlikely that 88E would get permission for a gravel pad for a pure "exploration" well.
Costs, bonding and clear up in the event of well failure all mitigate against in any case.
