Indeed, if virtual video takes off then I'd expect video traffic to grow not decline. Virtualisation reduces the size of the MP4 container by removing the encoded video data. However, when you watch the video the player still has to stream the encoded video data from the remote source. Net result is the same amount of data used to watch the same amount of video content.
