General Eisenhower, AFTER the American and other nations' soldiers entered Dachau, Belsen, and other German horror camps - insisted that the whole ghastly scene - emaciated starved bodies in piles, all be immediately photographed, for posterity. The whole of the horrors, such cruelty impossible to comprehend.

He also insisted that all inhabitants of nearby villages be brought through the camps - shown the piles of dead - immediately.

Why? Because, he said, if he didn't do this, posterity would entirely forget, eventually, with the passage of time - and even deny these atrocities ever really happened.

A very wise man - Eisenhower.

He was spot on. Yes, most of us DO remember. Generations will always recall. Thanks to his quick thinking.

But there are STILL Holocaust deniers. Inexplicable. Even evil - or else, hugely ignorant.
