In my experience this can happen from time to time, but isn't necessarily indicative of a long term trend. I expect expenses to increase as the company targets growth. I.e new employees, marketing, etc

If we have another quarter of marginal expense increase and much larger revenue increases, then yes, this could explode. But I fully expect to see an increase larger than last quarter - simple because, that was the trend before, and last quarter may have been an outlier.
