IMHO common sense will prevail, the 3 amigos will NOT back labor, for a start self interest will dictate on a few fronts,
    1. There make up is more to the right than left, and labor is now well to the left now they have done a deal with the greens.

    2. Abbot won the 2 party preferred, this means more people than not will despise them if they go with Labor, both in the whole of Australia and especially in their electorates.

    3. Although Abbot may have a black hole in his budget, labor has 2 black holes, one of which is written about in today's Australian where the 3 big miners are saying there calcs of what they pay extra each year is in the 100's of MILLIONS not 4 to 5 BILLION as SWan and the his cronies in treasury has stated, here is the link.

    4. Labors other black hole, the NBN, this started off at about 4 billion and has blown out to
over 43 billion, with it now expected to be up to double and with no cost analysis.

    5. Labors track record of mismanagement and waste that Gillard and Swan were intricately involved with on all levels of management will be a factor.

    6. Labors sacking by the faceless men of an elected first term prime minister.

    7. The stench from both the Qld and NSW state governments, that all 3 reside in, should be a warning to what extended terms of what modern labors policies will offer, as the federal style is very NSW like now, if they want stability, then labors track record over the last three years fails miserably, the only positive, that they did was keep us out of recession, but the management and implementation of their programs was disastrous, that will be in their minds also.

    8. Abbots record, for those of you who want to check, as a minister and junior minister to get things done efficiently is impeccable, his tenacity in this election and in opposition will give the independents confidence he can do the job.

    9. Going with labor will be political suicide for the 3 amigos, If Abbot could bring down Rudd with an 18 seat majority and a popularity of 60% plus in 6 months, plus claw back a first term labor government to lose majority, with only a popularity rating of 36%, what will he do with a left aligned, minority labor government with Gillard and Swan at the front, the 3 amigos know that if Abbot brought down Rudd, he has a much stronger chance of bringing this rabble down, and there electorates would be hammered by the coalition next election and all 3 would be kicked out FOR SURE.

When all the dust settles for the 3 amigos this weekend, my opinion is common sense will prevail and they will go with the coalition.
