Over expansion of MSCs in culture causes senescence (the condition or process of deterioration with age. loss of a cell's power of division and growth). A fairly recent and ever growing body of literature can attest to this.

TEMCELL and all other first-generation methods of manufacturing (bone-marrow MSCs etc) have proved that MSCs work (thanks to all who paved the way!), but they cannot produce enough potent and consistent cells on an industrial commercial scale.
