I think it is extremely unlikely that it will have any real effect on Xero. Worldwide- governments in the countries where Xero has a subscriber base have indicated they will give fiscal support to small businesses. I imagine if cashflow actually is a squeeze, the accounting software will be the last to go. Xero has a rock solid balance sheet and can weather the storm. Even if there was a recession, I personally believe that software like Xero provides an edge to users, and those that use this software will thrive relative to those that don’t.
I didn’t add, but it did go very very close to my buy in price so those that picked the bottom on Friday I believe got a very good deal. I haven’t sold any and have no plans to do so until evidence of business deterioration occurs. I noticed for the first time that Xero has actually become a low volatility stock on the ASX (beta < 1), which provides a very nice protection to my portfolio during these sorts of times.
