Council's food truck trial sparks anger in Stanwell Park
Wollongong council's planned food truck trial is a "slap in the face" for established business, said a Stanwell Park cafe owner.
First the bushfires kept southern Sydney customers away as they thought the area was burning. Then the first COVID lockdown happened, followed by a two-month closure of Lawrence Hargrave Drive for roadworks.
Now with the light visible at the end of the tunnel, council is planning to allow food trucks to park at the beach just a few hundred metres away from her cafe.
