Really interesting situation now for some of these lachlan fold underground mine re-developments. There's a few different trial processing operations going on in various parts and the results are going to be interesting - there's already been some very positive stuff coming out of some of them.
There could be some great opportunities here - the sorts of grades being talked about would be economical even at lower gold prices.
I was pretty surprised this announcement didn't generate a bit more excitement - if everything discussed in the report holds true then this is going to be huge. I guess the BDG situation has created a lot of skepticism but some trial processing results showing bonanza grades from some of these other underground operations could draw some attention. Heck even BDG might surprise us but I'm skeptical - maybe they should have built the plant next to the morning star mine instead - it looks like the MCO crew know how to find a reef or two at least.
