They'd both react the same way, hopefully by smacking you round the ears.

I've seen the documentaries, some very convincing for people without an independent mind. I've also seen other docos that show the first docos were garbage.
Yes people were expecting more bits of plane at the Pentagon, but then again no one had ever flown a jumbo at full speed into a building before. I've seen the result of a plane diving straight into the ground. Not a lot left then either.
