I would posit that the video is so disturbingly outrageous that the police know that the current outrage over this event would be multiplied by 100's. Ultimately, the police only retain power at the public's discretion, and they fear any loss of that power. They should have thought of that, or rather think of the consequences of not adequately punishing the bad cop element. Instead, the usual procedure is to transfer them to other non-operational departments or promote them. Much like pedo priests are transferred. That has to change, and police found to be abusing their powers must be sacked and held to account with no 'get out of jail' cards allowed. It must be pointed out that we went to war against a police force that had gotten out of control. They were the Taliban. And our allied forced, along with the French resistance, slaughtered tens of thousands of French police during the allied invasion of WW2 for abusing their power. Both extreme examples, I admit, but pertinent reminders of what can happen if police forces are not adequately controlled and held to the highest standards. That said, I tip my hat to the majority of police that don't let the power go to their heads and do a splendid job of bringing the bad guys/gals to justice. Nevertheless, if the good cops ignore the bad cops, then they are complicit.

id say you're getting carried away with hyperbole and that the video is still currently under internal investigations, so it is normal that the video be held from public view until the investigation is completed.
