Obviously being an NT police officer i am privvy to a lot more information/ knowledge of the Rolfe matter than most. The Rolfe matter was indeed justifiable, in my opinion and ultimately that was recognised at trial. An overwhelming majority were/ are supportive of Rolfe, including many interstate members I know! Without race being injected the Rolfe matter was a pretty clear case of self defence in my opinion!
