Probably won't be an announcement for a few months as they would need to get the certificate. Find someone to fly the cities for them. Set up a US company. Then probably have to offer some free mapping to lure customers in. I stand to be corrected but I think it took them 2 years to lift the paywall in Australia and there was a huge backlash.
There's also the possibility that Australia shareholders will see $0 revenue and that they may set up a separate US company to take on the US market. There is already a US twitter account.
Anyone got any thoughts on the US company idea ? Concerns ?
