re: $1.58 - thanks to hotcopper V prices are not available at all..
V2O5 and FeV in various grades in the more standard pricing used.
The most favoured is V2O5 prices.
As an idea, this week sitting at between USD 8.50 - 9.50 / lb.
BTW - I am in the V game and there are small mines in China and Russia producing V, however it is not preferred due to low grades and high cost to get the vanadium from the ore. Granted most V comes as a by product and by product material is prefereed by all mfrs of V2O5 / FeV.
One company I deal with is currently mining V bearing ore in China as they cannot get any by-product. They are losing money on this, however they need to keep their plant running..
Another reason b- products are preferred is becuase they nearly always contain some other metal that can be extracted such as Mo, Co, Ni, etc.
I wish PMA all the best, however up until now, I still cannot figure out whether they will succeed or not.
BTW - RS is a bit of a d!ckhead based on his naive comments..
