Younger families needing the support more than anyone is the point. They are the ones crowding into Woollies and Kmart this week spending their money on family items and school needs, not ridiculous pokies.
If you need evidence, go down to your own local RSL club right now and do a head count. How many single mums, young parents do you see compared to Pensioners? If you want, ask the Pensioners what they are doing with their bonus money?
There are alway exceptions, but the trend of spending is obvious as evidenced in the preceeding article.
