yes eagle, what you say is true, i too know pensioners who have "structured" their affairs so as to still be able to receive a pension, handballing an asset or 2 to the kiddies being a classic. it's not these guys that i'm referring to.
i'm referring to the strugglers, the ones that need the money the most, not the asset rich. i'm all for more money for our pensioners, i just don't agree in this method i.e. lump sum.
nelson's way was better, $30 increase per week/fortnight or whatever it was.
