what happens is that company A - sends an order- with drawings AND material ------------ often weirdo material, no one has seen before -

his job is to make the widget ----------- work out how to make it ------- I think perhaps make one - then after approval, a batch is made or not.

In the same social group is another young bloke - chemist. He's into new materials - and the stories I hear when we get together about what companies are working on is - interesting plus. Things like new products which go into the mix of something - maybe a coating on an electronic device or an ingredient in a rubber or similar

that's all going AI ------ - well, it's gone AI already - but, it's only the beginning.

the process of building new stuff is already in place ------------ so AI coming up with new ideas is not the only way AI will and is being employed ----------- it's right up and down the chain
