    Statement by AWB Limited

    Further to the announcements lodged with the Australian Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 18 January 2006, AWB Limited apologises for the unauthorised release of the statement made by the Managing Director, Mr Andrew Lindberg. Due to the fact that an inquiry into the United Nations (UN) Oil for Food (OFF) Program is currently in progress, it was inappropriate that the statement be lodged.
    The Company is aware of its disclosure obligations under LR 3.1 and confirms that it is in compliance with that rule.
