Good article Sector Lead. However, it misses one significant point ... in an area that vast, with definitive oil generation, there will quite possibly be a large conventional structure somewhere. As modern seismic gets applied to the area the chances of such a structure being discovered increase significantly. And so when Santos, CTP et al start to drill they will likely target areas which have conventional structures as well as shale, to have 'multiple shots on goal'. Tight oil is good. Large conventional structures are even better. To his credit, John Heugh was onto this a long time ago ... he was just unable to execute on his vision (no need to further debate the whys of that ...)
