I have posted this current news article on PPL,then gone back and sighted 4nth posting on ASF as to what Gunns stated in part.

I have an opinion on this ,and yes it is definitly bias.
If I am correct I want these proposals to fall over, especially with the likes of Macrat&Grubb with their rat claws in this giving their peferred opinion

Also Gunns have a bad PR run in Tasmania,re- Tasmanian times.

getting back to 4nth's post it has too many get out of jail cards and that it can be used to cut a deal that Gunns and PPl get it anyway. And why would not Gunns go for it?.It would extend Gunnns empire all the way to WA,and yet under another corporate name the investor is ham strung in the proposal that is agreed too,

    A BETTER OPTION??
    I SERIOUSLY WONDER

Pulpwood Plantations has broadened its bid for Great Southern timber schemes.

Earlier this year, the company announced it would offer a $20 million rescue package to growers in six plantation projects.

However, in a letter to investors the company has announced it will extend the bid to cover all but one of the 11 plantations connected to the failed agribusiness.

Pulpwood Plantations chairman Gordon Martin told investors an incomplete plantation would be considered separately.

Liquidator McGrathNicol is expected to announce a preferred bidder in the coming days.

    An excerpt from Gunns announcement

"Gunns is well positioned to leverage its forestry management expertise.

    - Actively working on proposals to play a role in the ongoing operation of forestry assets presently managed by Timbercorp and Great Southern Plantations.

Gunns primary objective is to manage assets and woodflow, rather than deploy significant capital to acquire land or other capital assets.

    - Gunns is exploring a number of avenues to achieve this, including working with other parties to advance proposals."
