They could argue that it is for the good of all shareholders. Rightly or wrongly, I would be surprised if they were not using shareholders money.

However, I do not think they would fund my legal costs if I had shares with Opes Prime. They would probably just say to me "what did you do that for you silly bugger".

with 40% of the company with Opes Prime the resolution of this issue is certainly in the interests of all shareholders however directors have been extremely irresponsible to put the company at risk in this way.
