Howard has spent 23 years managing businesses across the Asia pacific region, the last 11 years being based in Hong Kong. Before returning to Perth, Howard was with the Economist Group as managing director, HK, SE Asia, Korea and the Pacific. Among the many businesses run by the Economist Group, Howard was closely involved with executive peer networking via "The Economist Corporate Network". Prior to this Howard worked for Gartner as North Asia regional director where he built up the business in China and Korea, and Adobe as general manager, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Howard has also been involved in industry lobbying and policy work in Hong Kong and other Asian markets, first as committee member and Chairman of the Business Software Alliance and also through various chambers of commerce and other industry organisations. Howard has a Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from The University of Western Australia.
