Long time since I've been there,,, from memory,, from the Big River turn off at the brigde, passed some flat ground on the right hand side between the track the river, gets used for camping a fair bit, and it wasn't far past that there is a track on the left that cuts back sharp and goes up to the mine, probably less than 1km (it;s not too steep,,2x drive will get there) I'm pretty sure that the track ends at the mine. There was a stone hut there built by the owner and walkers etc used to camp there but a big ash fell on it.
