Yes I trade with Westpac. If I buy shares on let's say a Monday, I have to sell them before 4pm on Wednesday to not pay. If I sell them at a profit, I just get the difference, by the following Monday (i.e. T+3). If I sell at a loss, I have to pay the loss amount on the Thursday. Been trading with them like that since 2001
