I am watching Platina, while any thing can happen I cant see a high probability it will take off in the next 12 to 18 months. Panther have a blocking stake, do they have so much money and is skaergard so compelling that they would want to move now? How much would they save by making a bid now, I get the impression the shareholders want top doller even at this stage. There must be other mining investment opportunities to keep them busy. Why shouldnt they wait and accumulate knowledge on the project. The feasability study wont be completed till 2011. Granted there arent many shares available and long term investers will lock them up but may be there are better investments in the medium term.
The yield of 1.68g gold per ton is not high for an underground mine. With byproduct credits it may be as good as 2-2.5g/ton. If it was an opencast in western Australia it would be super,instead its an underground in Greenland and is going to cost 370mill to develop.
Why not consider Ags, Irn, Rwd, or Lyc? Possibly less risk and a greater potencial for medium term gain. There is not much chat on Pgm because nothing is happening, no anouncements,little share price movement. There cant be to many shareholders to post. Pgm is for the bottom draw it requires a lot of patience and self reliance in my opinion.
