Whereu, when you suggest God murdered the first born in Egypt, I can only conclude you have not read the Bible account.
The Pharaoh of the day harshly oppressed the Jews - Exodus 1:8-14
It developed to the point of attempted genocide .
(Exodus 1:15, 16) Later the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives whose names were Shiphʹrah and Puʹah, 16 and he told them: “When you help the Hebrew women to give birth and you see them on the stool for childbirth, you must put the child to death if it is a son; but if it is a daughter, she must live.”
Around 80 years later Jehovah's patience had grown thin as the oppression increased. - Exodus 5:6-18
9 plagues later the nation became divided between those that recognized Jehovah was the true God and those that were unteachable.
Instructions were spelled out explaining how to avoid the 10th, the death of the first born. Jehovah's mercy is evident to all except the spiritually blind.
