watso, a bushell is a volume measurement, so different grains will weigh differently. Wheat is one of the heavier ones. The weight will also vary according to the condition of the grain, mainly moisture content. There would have to be some predetermined moisture content used as a standard to arrive at a standard weight for a bushell of a particular grain.
