ok - looks like watso was totally wrong. something just flashed through watso's brain, and he seems to think that he confused a "hundred weight" with a bushel. and there are probably 20 hundred weight to a ton... ok - watso just checked it out - and it seems that a bushel is the equivalent of 4 pecks (heh heh - never heard of that one before), which is 2152.42 cubic inches
U.S. bushel = 35.23907 litres
Imperial bushel = 36.36872 litres
now all hot copper readers can be experts on "bushels", and when they watch the news, and see that wheat is $x per bushel, then they can nod their heads, knowingly, and smugly think that they understand everything
