Of the 28,996,897 Registered Users and 14,224,786 Total Jobs Posted, I'd guess:

25m freelancers and wannabe freelancers
- 20m who are either barely qualified but want to make some money, or have quit years ago because it was too difficult to get a project, against so much competition
- 5m who have done 1+ projects and want to do more. I expect most of the jobs are won by the minority with 100+ jobs under their belt (<100,000 or so top members).

3m project buyers
- 14,000,000 jobs posted is the true demand. The 25m freelancers is the avalanche of supply coming to meet the demand.
- This would be about 5 projects per project buyer.

The demand is unlikely to ever exceed the supply, since if there was 10x the projects (140,000,000!), the number of freelancers from India/China etc would skyrocket further.
