I think you did a great job identifying a piece of the Tropo puzzle that has not been discussed. IGO had a 5.5 billion market cap, and therefore has far more balance sheet power than RRL....It is a well known fact that IGO does not want to be part of gold, and this was a non-core asset, which means that if Tropo wanted to expand its drilling profile to open up new ground, they weren't going to.
I think that RRL want proven ground.......I would not be suprirsed if the Tropo acq was more about getting reliable new drilling ground rather than just a cashflow asset.
