I've always thought that one advantage for governments implimenting subsidies for the installation costs of fuel cells, is maintenance costs down the track would be transfered from the government to the owner of the fuel cell.
In saying that, forward thinking like that, in saving the governments maintenance costs would not be in the current governments interest, as existing governments are about the here and now!!
I know what I have mentioned doesn't really add much weight for the reasoning of implimentation of fuel cells on a broad scale , but it is another long term cost saving strategy for governments to think about!
