I've done some research recently by looking at hundreds of local shops and businesses. Surprisingly few (~10-15%) had BNPL signs. Virtually all with BNPL signs involved mid-range fashion/accessories or hair and beauty services catering to under 40s. I didn't notice any high end (or low end) retailers with a BNPL sign. In other words, high margin discretionary spending for one off/infrequent purchases.
