In your example of Indian sales, then an Indian based office with Indian based sales people are what you would want in this situation. Maybe 1-2 of my projects in my day-to-day role are based in India. For these jobs we have a local company who acts as a broker/agent to faciliate transactions, communicate to the locals on our behalf, and advise on our tax/visa issues. Hiring an Indian to the board wouldn't help Eden at all.
It's off topic, so this is the last I'll speak of it, however what Eden needs are sales. If a female or Indian board member results in those sales, then great, hire lots. Hiring a specific gender/race to the board entirely due to the gender is silly and a waste of much needed cash at a time when this company is putting their hat out to existing holders for more money.
