So with EXL having 5 Mt and Xstrata 8 Mt coming on stream, my estimation is that coal prices have peaked and the cycle tends downwards, although the high oil price keeps energy costs high.
Looking longer term, with expanding volumes but falling prices for coal, how do you envisage CHL to go.? l am getting out of coal stocks but l like the volume story which CHL benefits by. l also have BBI which operates DBCT and has expanding volumes. They also now have a rail network which will haul commodities and are linked with QR. l am also looking at the various mine servicing corps, the idea to get away from direct commod pricing volatility.
Any thoughts on other associated mining services ?
