Sorry pressed wong button and sent off too soon. You have to consider will the lender require Insurance on the vehicle as all car dealers require Comprehensive cover. So you need to see if he can afford the repayments and the insurance costs as well. The type of vehicle becomes important here as sometimes insurance can be AS expensive as the repayments on the loan. So check this before purchasing. The best loan is a bank loan, if not acceptable try your credit union, and as a last resort get the finance from the car dealer. all these types of loans have different rating and sooo this makes different costs to the amount you pay for Insurance.
