yes, tso is blessed to have so many well informed posters who understand the gold mining game. Investors need to park their money in something that will earn them more than .5 percent interest ... and gold related stocks are ones that will do well in the current climate ... especially with the POG progressing inexorably towards $1800. So no, I don’t think a downturn in the US market will affect TSO ... in fact it will make it more attractive.
