'Plentiful' is a relative figure... if you consider the overall population figures. What percentage of the worlds population is volunteering to join radical groups?

Nor is the motivation necessarily religious for all volunteers. Some may feel marginalized in their own society, aliens in their adopted nations, may not be able to find employment, disenfranchised, looking for a purpose and finding it in the propaganda of extremists. Nothing to do with 'Satan' - the human race is quite capable of raising its own steady supply of nut cases. Who, given the right conditions, are willing to wage war.
