Firstly, apologies for missing the reference to Sandong, perhaps in the future mention the mine you are referring to in the middle of a discussion regarding a different mine.
As to the Tempiute Tungsten Mine and Mill, guardian has signed a binding letter of an INTENT to acquire an OPTION on it. So they don't have a binding agreement to acquire it, just a binding agreement to have an option to acquire it. This was announced on the 31st October. It includes a 90 day DD clause which would take them to January 31st. If they agree to the option they then have 3 years to establish a mineral resource with a minimum of .4% WO3 so they can exercise the Option.
The last time the mine site was in production was 1987. When you say:
“It is a brownfield site. Which is full permitted, has major infrastructure and ore on surface.”
What major infrastructure are you referring to? My understanding is it has a few empty sheds and some mine shafts. Ore on the surface are tailings and some old stockpiles that were not processed back in the 80s.
How long has it taken for Mt Carbine, Dolphin, Saloro, Sandong, Hemerdon to get into production? These guys are starting from scratch pretty much.
90 days DD, 3 years mineral resource, scoping studies, PFS, DFS, financing, build a plant, Power source, Water source, Refurbish and retrofit the shafts, then they can start the process of getting the recoveries up(or failing to).
I don’t think current Tungsten producers have much to worry about in regard to imminent production from Tempiute.
