Apologies Scottm I must of been half asleep as it was stated directly with the video what crusher it was. Also the couple of mentions of $151m NPV above should have been $131m NPV.

As to my other question I have done my best to answer it below based on the BFS document

    —------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a summary of the BFS phase 1 crushing, screening and sorting.

ROM (run of mine - ore as it comes straight from the mine) ore at size less than 750mm from the low grade stockpile (LGS) enters the first screen which splits the ROM ore at 170mm into above 170mm going to a stockpile and the lower than 170mm feed goes into the new Sandvik wet screen.

The Sandvik wet screen has three decks which produce three products.

1)>40mm goes to the cone crusher

2)6-40mm goes to ore sorter feed stockpile

3)<6mm pumped straight to the gravity processing plant via wet slurry pipeline

Product 1 goes through the cone crusher and then goes back to the Sandvik wet screen where it will enter either product stream 2 or 3.

Product 2 once sorted via the (1)X-Ray sorter is trucked to the processing plant.(rejects removed (~88% of ore) and sent to the quarry inventory.)

Product 3 is pumped to the processing plant and goes through dewatering on arrival. The bulk is sent to the wet gravity plant. Any ore overflow that makes its way into the dewatering process is stockpiled and the water goes to storage for reuse. This stockpile goes where?? I imagine straight back into the start of the processing plant when necessary.

When product 2, the ore sorter product, is processed it goes through another screen the techroq double screen which splits the ore into <6mm which goes straight to the gravity plant and the 6-40mm is crushed via the VSI techroq crusher and resent to the techroq double screen again.

    —------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The difference in “equipment” between phase 1 and phase 2 is:

A mobile jaw crusher. (sandvik Uj440i) vs the double grizzly (crushing of ore vs screening and stockpiling large rock that is not currently processed)

The cone crushers are different. CSS* 24mm vs 40 mmm (Phase 2 -Sandvik SC2463 VS Phase 1- 2¼ ft Symons cone crusher) (newer crusher that is no doubt more efficient and results in a better/smaller(24mm) crushed output)

    Sizing screens are different ((Phase 2- Sandvik SL 1862 vs techroq 5’ x 12’) (96tph vs 80tph)

VSI CRUSHER Phase 2-2x Sandvik CV216(changed??) vs Phase 1-1x techroq T5R Single Drive MK0.5

Additional tailing dewatering circuit resulting in an additional stockpile of “fines ore” and better reuse of water.

    —------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a summary of the BFS phase 2 crushing, screening and sorting.

ROM (run of mine - ore as it comes straight from the mine) ore is delivered to the mobile jaw crusher (new to phase 2) at a CSS* of 95mm and fed to the triple deck sandvik wet screen.

*(CSS-Closed side setting- is the most important crusher parameter since it defines the maximum product size and has significant bearing on capacity, product gradation, power draw, and wear.)

The Sandvik wet screen has three decks which produce three products.

1)>40mm goes to the cone crusher

2)6-40mm to ore sorter feed stockpile

3)<6mm pumped straight to the gravity processing plant

Product 1 goes through the (new)cone crusher (CSS 24mm) and then goes back to the Sandvik wet screen where it will enter either product 2 or 3 streams.

Product 2 once sorted via the X-Ray sorter is trucked to the wet plant.(rejects removed (~88% of ore) and sent to the quarry inventory.)

VSI crusher and larger vibrating sizing screen is added into the existing rehandling circuit to increase efficiency and throughput. The VSI Crusher will be a Sandvik CV217 VSI crusher (conflicts with the 2x Sandvik CV216 stated in the same document (I assume an update oversight to the BFS doc)). CV216 has throughput of 51-121tph vs the CV217 throughput of 122-192tph

As per the usual disclaimer I have no mining experience and am just commenting for fun. This could be and probably is nonsense. Having said that based on my few hours of trying to find the answer to “Do you know where exactly this third round of crushing fits into the flow” I would suggest it is in reference to the VSI crushers and the associated screens.

At the end of my research what is apparent is that there seems to be a lot of old “kit” that needs replacing to bring the mine up to speed and give it its new lease of life. What is always apparent is the importance of the Xray sorters, LGS or highgrade open pit the Xray sorters will earn their keep and more.
