Department store group Myer, which has 23 stores in Scentre’s malls, has previously said it will close at Westfield Hornsby in Sydney and Belconnen in Canberra.

Scentre had replaced Myer at its Sydney Hurstville mall with retailers such as Cotton On, JB Hi-Fi, Woolworths and Big W, which had sales of more than $100m a year compared with Myer’s $22m-$25m, Mr Allen said.

The former boss of collapsed retailer Dick Smith, Nick Abboud, is among parties being sounded out to take the top job at Myer.

Let's hope not ? Really - how is this guy even "in the mix" LOL .... they said he "was out of his depth" at DSH ... bound to sink at Myer then - just sayin'
