we have been trading for years and still get it wrong at least half the time, the way to overcome this is to use a trading plan and include a stoploss which is set at an amount you can afford to lose, Say 2% of your total portfolio on any one trade..
Never enter a trade without establishing a realistic stoploss..
It takes a lot of experience in doing this, most particularly in the Oilers and Fundamentals driven spec stocks. I mean how was the reaction today after the first OPL announcement..phew NEO dropped from 49 to 42.
anyway best of luck to you and ask all the questions you need to.
there are a lot of rampers who want your money on this site and an equal number of honest folk who will try and help..its a great site to research stocks and posters history's.
PS NEO still looks fine imo coming of a double bottom (tweezer) at 40c, a good stoploss .
