I agree negaitive perception is always a problem. I am not defending H&P, all I'm saying is that we might not know all the facts and some of the comments posted could lead those writing them into trouble. I only meant it as friendly advice.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on what is happening, I would just hate to see someone getting into trouble over it.
I am not suggesting that a boutique broker does not advise clients. The whole thing may be true as some posts have said. I just don't know the facts and I'm not sure if anyone else does either.
As for being noble for sticking up for a fellow CEO, that was not my intent. I'll be one of the ones kicking and screaming if management is a failure... as I'm sure would happen to me by my shareholders. I just think he quite possibly has the skills UMC needs. Only time will tell.
Hopefully the UMC Board and Management will work on the perception issue.
