"1. Should I be buying 1oz/10oz bars over 1oz coins, and if coins are considered better which ones should I hunt down and which ones should I stay away from if any. Is re-sale of bars vs coins any major difference?"

The 1oz coins are more expensive than the bars and unless you sell the coins to a collector, they will only be worth the spot price per oz. Better off buying cast or minted bars imo.
