I still remember last October when A2 milk was $8, no one except institutional investors was brave enough to buy those shares (clear their short positions and start to go long, for example Macquarie did that and made an announcement immediately after doing so), a lot of people on hot copper, even long term supporters said they gave up and moving on at the worst time possible, even though their average costs are $11+. look at what happened for A2M now. the thing is that a lot of times, unless you are the big player and have the control of the share, you never know why the daily movement happened for that specific share. if you want to play the game, you need to overcome fear and greed. and always treat your share like you never own them, and analyze things objectively. Why institutional player can do that? because they don't have to pay for the losses personally and they can always capitalise on people's feelings.
