Whytee - were you using the wet weight or concrete or the cured dry weight. I always assumed it was wet mix weight in my early back of envelope figures.
There is a large variation in weights of concrete but 20mpa 10mm agg approx cured
cubic yard is 1840kg
cubic m is 2400kg
Wet to cured is 5-10% lighter than wet weight from memory? .
Does someone want to create a exel table with assumptions/ variations / conversions and we can audit it , match it with all reports for first trials and then later versions? I have seen this revisited several times and differing answers.
Adding a few known input costs per country for regularly used published mixes and we soon get to a $ % of cost of concrete and the hurdle $ amount required to be exceeded by performance of the additive in concrete both initially and over life of concrete.
