We were caught up in a Medicare fraud last year where somehow many medicare numbers were misappropriated and used to process countless false claims.
We were sent a huge print run of claim details and asked to pick out those service providers we knew and had consulted and those we hadn't. An impossible task really because how could you rememberw when you had seen someone and when you hadn't and how do you identify practitioners whose names you never knew anyway.
And of course all the time it was going on there was the implied suggestion that the medicare fraud people believed you were guilty until proved innocent. My MP Angus Taylor was very helpful on our behalf though.Government is not your friend.
